Creative journeys in Nature

“I believe Nature needs us and we need we need to remember we are part of it to find balance, joy and connection in our lives.

All through my life I have found great healing, inspiration and joy spending time in Nature. It has always been essential to my all round well being.  I walk every day in the woods, gathering little treasures of natural wonder, feeling the elements on my skin and opening up to see and hear the plants, trees and woodland inhabitants. I have discovered that this daily practice has been named Shinrin-yoku  ( forest bathing) by the Japanese during 1980’s and has become a cornerstone of preventative health care and healing in Japanese medicine.

Over the last  four years I have been deepening my practice in Nature.  Inspired and guided by Ian Siddons Heginworth’s Fabulous book “Environmental art therapy and the tree of life” and through an incredible journey, over a year and a half. connecting with the spirit of the trees with Selkie Shell of WytchWyse, followed by a year attending her Path of the Wyse course in the Craft of a west country witch.

My Creative journeys in nature with you offer an actively held safe space in which to connect with nature and your own being.   Enabling you to express yourself through the mediums of ephemeral art and authentic ritual in a reverently playful and spontaneous state of being.

“Play keeps us vital and alive. It gives us an enthusiasm for life that is irreplaceable. Without it, life just doesn’t taste good.”  Lucia Capocchione

Testimonials

“I have enjoyed having environmental art sessions with Emma Capper for over a year now. Emma s very skilled at supporting me to explore feelings and personal experiences through using natural materials found in the woods, talking, storytelling and through simple ritual activities. I have always felt very safe and supported by Emma. She is a very genuine and caring person. I love the sense of space, wonder and freedom that I feel in my sessions with Emma. She brings a brilliant sense of spontaneity and ease to her work. I highly recommend working with Emma to anyone who is interested in deepening their understanding of themselves and their connection with nature.”  Jess Howarth

“As a carer, Emma Capper’s Creative Journey’s provide an essential break from my often stressful and intense caring role and really help maintain my well-being. The journeys provide wonderful creative time out in nature, to connect with the seasonal energies and have time just for me, with a wonderful group. I greatly look forward to them and I also really appreciate Emma’s support to help me access them at a time which fits in with caring responsibilities. The Creative Journeys also have a long term benefit from connecting with the flowing natural cycle of nature’s year and inspiring my creativity and ongoing awareness of my well-being. There are many other people who I am sure would also gain great benefit and enjoyment from Emma’s Creative Journeys and her natural creativity and nurturing spirit, so I very much hope she is successful in growing her wonderful Venture.”   Sarah Thomas

“Nature has many ways of refilling us. When we awake to the glory of a beautiful sunrise she fills us with hope. When we play like children in the waterfall she fills us with joy. When we answer her thunder with our own she fills us with power. When we kneel by the river and surrender an image of our lost one to its currents, she fills us with grief. When we sit with the wisdom that comes from seeing and understanding our journey, watching swans gliding in silence on the dark lake, she fills us with reverence. And when the work is done and we stand alone on the hillside beneath the stars she fills us with grace.”    Ian Siddons Heginworth
